Programming

Kent Student Center Programming is managed and run by Kent State University Students and is involved in planning, implementing and staffing free events within the Student Center for the university community

We are always looking for new bands to perform as part of Audio Refreshments. If you are interested or know a band that may be interested in performing, stop by our office in the lower level of the Student Center or call 672-1169 for more information.

We also work with student organizations who wish to use the Rathskeller for an event, use a showcase or have table tents put up. Contact us for more info at 672-1169.Signum Design Studio, located next to the Programming Office, is more than willing to work with groups to produce, posters, fliers, etc. For more information on these services, contact Evan Richards at 672-8190GlAMxLYTS

Anyone who enjoys the numerous events we sponser. These include:

Krazy Karaoke: Every Thursday, 9 p.m.-11:30, Rathskeller.

Every Thursday the Rathskeller gets a little "krazy." With over 10,000 songs to choose from, there's no reason not to sing. Turn in your song requests early to sing, or just relax and enjoy the performances. The winner walks away with prizes and a spot in Karaoke Finals at the end of the semester, where a grand prize will be awarded to the semester champion. Hosted by Katie Wallace.

Audio Refreshments: Wednesdays, Fridays throughout the year, 8:00-Midnight in the Rathskeller

Each week, we bring some of Kent and the surrounding area's finest bands, musicians and vocalists to the Rathskeller. Past performers have included Racermason, 20goto10, The Trombettas, Blitz, 2 Skinny Dorks, Good Morning Valentine, First Act, Starcrossed, Paralipsis, Drop to Zero, the Green Collective, Amplexus, Godot, and many more.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Sundays, times vary, Rathskeller Pay-Per-View screenings of wrestling action. We set up the big screen and the good -old fashioned brawls begin. Start times vary, check for flyers or our website.(www.kent.edu/kscprogramming)

Rock the Runway Fashion Show, March 1, 9pm in the KSC Ballroom.
