I am a French native singer/songwriter who has landed in Santa Cruz California almost 7 years ago...
The songs you can listen to on my profile are projects that I had the chance to work on in collaboration with Nicolas Richard (France) who gets lots of credit for the recording and most instruments and most of the songwriting, vocal arrangements are mostly mine, we both "songwrote" the tune "Give the truth" (the lyrics were not finished at the time of the recording you are listening to, I was just singing in Frenglish, we call it yogurt in French haha).
The tune "Etoile des dunes" was initially a project for Natacha Atlas, the tune "Je ne sais quoi" was for another artist as well.
The tune Give the truth is the closest type of songwriting I am into these days, but I have to go in studio and record my own material, still I thought those projects would give people and idea of what I can do in terms of singing, vocal arrangment and so on, I actually have other tunes where harmonies are more present though.
Harmonies are one of my biggest asset.
As much as I am interested in electronica/trip-hop genre, I love acoustic/folk songs, in fact, I'd like to somehow mix folk/acoustic with trip-hop, something raw yet electronic!
But anyway, I am looking foward to share those projects and would love to collaborate in a special songwriting relationship or any project that would be interesting.
I love gypsy, jazz, almost any style of music cause it's about the people who MAKE the music as well.
Constructive criticism is more than welcome, though most of these song projects were not all in my power.
Singing is the way I breathe, I hope we can share the same air.
I currently have a project with Santa Cruz local great multi instrumentist and dj gDouble and we are called My Cedar Box .
I also had the chance to put some vocals on a ambient/healing easy listening project called Ascension led by another Santa Cruz multi instrumentist and sound engineer Toby Gray .
