I'm guessing the whole world would like to know my pleasures, eh?!?!?!?!?!!?
Can't limit yourself to just interracting through a group of people you know personally. Sometimes you have to take the risk and encounter whom you may not know...that's how becoming friends work. Sometimes if you take the time to know people, they may be able to work out situations so that in the long run, you'll gain a pretty well established ground.
I would like to meet plenty of people from all corners, regardless of what and who they are. Besides, whomever I encounter, I'll ultimately learn a thing or two about that person and in turn, learn more about myself.
Classical Music - I like it personally. In fact it's my personal favorite type of music. To be honest, I have to thank my ninth grade Humanities teacher for making me open up to this kind of music. I like because it's something you can listen to on the road, while you're studying, doing homework, hell, even when you and your lover are ready to get in the back of a rental car and just...boink! What I'm getting at is classical music is a universal form of expression and emotion that can only be expressed when words are futile.
Rap/Hip Hop - It's controversial, but it's pretty much true to what Chris Rock said: "If the beats all right, they'll dance to it all night!" Honestly, people don't pay much attention to the lyrics, it's really the flow of the music and the words harmonized together that attract hip hop/rap enthusiast. I don't even think people really care about the messages the songs convey, but one things for sure...rap no longer carries political messages and build up morale for the black community, except there are a certain few (Ice Cube) that's willing to keep with that area. Nowadays, it's about being misogynistic, degrading, sexual overtones. But hey, we all live in hope, am I right?
New Age/Ambient - I don't know much about it, but this form of music takes a quirky approach to music. Rather than an ensemble, orchestra, or even "modern poetry", it's simply sounds that makes you relax and calm. Kitaro, Keiko Matsui, and Richard Warner (Spirits of the Wind) are what I purchased and listened to and well, they are suitable whenever you feel like you need to meditate in a quiet surrounding. You don't have to be an Egg or Chocolate Cheesecake to enjoy some of these pieces...but at least have a calm frame of mind.
Trance/Techno - I appreciate this kind of music. It's not my biggest preference, but it's right up there because music like that allows you to just go crazy. I may sound like a mystical old sensei, but when you listen to trance/techno, picture yourself zoning out and just move along with the song. The song carries you in various directions, controlling your energy or chakra, and all of a sudden, this push of adrenaline rises from nowhere, and when you're done, you can't recall much except losing your frame of mind. Well, in particular, listen to DJ Tiesto or some VNV Nation (Saviour) in order to understand why.
(This is all for now...I'll update some more!)
I'm not really a big fan of movies, however there are a certain few that really stood out, both past and present. Here they are:
I'm not too big on television. However there are some shows that like that keeps me interested. I like some shows that are comical, and very seldom reality TV shows. Aside from all that there really isn't much to look forward too (of course anime is a biggie for me!).
Notable shows: Curb Your Enthusiasm, Wayan's Bros., In Living Color, Real Time With Bill Maher, The Chris Rock Show, Weeds, The L Word, Dexter, That's So Raven.
I'm not an avid fan of reading, therefore, I don't read that many books, unless they are about upcoming games, philosophy, religion, and new developments around the world.
The definition heroes have been drastically broadened from my understandings. What is a hero? How can one define the term? Honestly, there are no heroes we know by our childhood thoughts, just "heroes."
