About Me
Lara Blejmar is a singer and composer, graduate of the Berklee Contemporary School of Music, part of the College of Music in Boston, United States. She was awarded the degree of Professional Musician, Specializing in Singing. She won First Prize in the “Sing With Me†Competition (Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino). This competition was held by the AMIA [Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina], FM Jai (FM 96.3), and Biferdil and organized by the singer Zoila. Furthermore, she won First Prize in the “March for Life†Competition. Her joint project “The Little Girl and the Orchestral Conductorâ€, together with Eva Romarowsky, was rewarded with a trip to Poland and Israel. She has taken singing lessons with Ana MarÃa Osorio and Nora Malatesta, piano classes with Juan D. Argenton, Gustavo Samela and Esteban Sheinkman. Others music teachers: Pollo Raffo, Pablo Lopez Ruiz, Cecilia Colombo, Pepa Bibanco, Daniel Johansen...
In turn, she has given singing lessons in various music schools pertaining to the Jewish community in Buenos Aires, as well as conducting several choirs.
