About Me

The band met on craigslist in the summer of 2004. Brendan the guitarist, singer and songwriter put an ad out for musicians. A drummer by the name of Tslil responded. The two rehearsed at Astoria Soundworks, in Queens. Brendan was impressed by Tslil's drumming, and her ability and determination to learn and arrange drum parts. The band enlisted many bass players. As a trio the band played the NYC circuit. However, none matched the caliber and dynamic that the pair shared. In the autumn of 2007 the two members decided to regroup and rework old songs, as well as write new ones. Brendan took over bass duties, and the duo forged a new sound. The sound is Ekra.
