AnAmity
(am-i-ty ’amitea friendly relationship/friendship ORIGIN late Middle English: from Old French amitie, based on Latin amicus ‘ friend ’ )
AnAmity is a hard-rock band that formed in the summer of 2007. They didn’t pick the name „AnAmity“ by chance,
they try to live this feeling of friendship with integrity and honesty.
After three months of hard work the band came up with their first self-produced demo recordings
and their fans got a taste of AnAmity’s music listening to „No more Reasons“ or „Bust Your Hide“. But only a taste!
After playing several live-gigs, a solid fanbase was built asking for more. An EP is currently being recorded and will be released early in the year 2009.
It will be available through i-Tunes, Napster, etc.
The band’s style is best to be described as somewhere in between modern rock and alternative metal, influenced by bands like TOOL, or Nirvana.
Bettina as the main songwriter performs vocals and guitars. Therefore unconventional melodies, deep lyrics and jaw-rattling guitar-riffs complement each other.
This effect is supported by the bass, who’s not only the low-end and part of the tight working rhythm-section, but giving the sound a very distinct style!
The intense and accurate play of the drummer drives and completes the band. One could keep on characterizing them, but let‘s leave some room for your impressions!
There is something special surrounding AnAmity words can hardly describe and that can only be expierenced in their live shows!
