Influences:DJ Paul Beats truly picked a stage name to suit his very soul…”Music is the ultimate way of expressing myself and my lifelong passion.”DJing sparked Paul Beats’ interest at the ripe age of 16, namely when his friend and DJ colleague Jewel T bought himself a pair of decks. “I used to love watching him spinning the decks and listening to the music and eventually I realised that DJing was an art I had to master.” The hit album ‘Homework’ by Daft Punk was another strong source of inspiration; DJ Paul Beats admired the duo who changed the face of dance music immensely.Paul Beats followed his ever-growing love for music and bought his own top of the range set of decks, which he set up in his garage and transformed into a studio. “I used to spend hours practising until I perfected my skills and came up with my own unique style which I was truly happy with.” DJ Paul Beats started out playing techno, which was the music to listen to back then.It wasn’t long until Paul Beats found himself resident at popular local nightclubs, and to his delight, the crowd responded. This was the beginning of his musical journey.DJ Paul Beats also played alongside world renowned DJs such as Armand Van Helden, Dave Angel, The Advent, Eric Morillo, Super Funk, Junior Sanchez, Felix Da Housecat, Ken Ishii, Robbie Rivera, Sven Vath, Jacques De Marseille and Funk Da Void.In addition to this, Paul Beats has gigged at numerous events, including some of the following: Tribu, Trigger, Godskitchen Malta, Lovesexy, Ruby & Friends, Booty Shake, Get Funky and all Blade Promo events besides many others.Over the years, Paul Beats’ style has evolved along with the music scene. From techno to funky house today Paul Beats is wowing the crowds with the latest in electro house and namely tribal music.So what’s next on Paul Beats’ list? “Obviously I want to keep proving myself as a local DJ.
