.. DearAmanda se forma gracias a un grupo de chicos que querian tocar algo mas que punk o heavy metal tipico y así variar el estilo musical que pueda haber en barcelona. Influenciados por bandas como Alexisonfire, Devil Wears Prada o A Day to Remember, decidimos hacer una mezcla de screamo/alternativo con dejes de muchas otras de sus influencias como Saosin o Thrice.
Asi fue como originalmente Victor y Seryi nos encontramos para empezar a crear algun que otro tema. De alli salió "The Same Old Song". Animados por nuestro primer tema decidimos formar una nueva banda. Atraidos por un anuncio de internet localizamos a Dani que, gracias a su gran voz y experiencia, paso a formar parte importante de ésta, aún en formación, banda barcelonesa. Gracias a diversos contactos conocimos a Fer,y, despues de probar diversos bajistas, él nos sedució. Así pues, a falta de un bateria, nació una nueva banda en Barcelona con un estilo totalmente diferente : Dear Amanda. A Falta de una sala de ensayo grabamos 6 temas en acústico que, ahora, gràcias a la entrega del local (despues de un año de espera), podemos pasar a électrico. Con la mas reciente incorporación de Rafa a la batería la formación se completa. Apuntad a DearAmanda en vuestra lista de grupos favoritos . ..

DearAmanda appears thanks to a boy band who wants to play something more than the tipical punk or heavy metal and by this way, change the musical Barcelona style. Influenced by bands like Alexisonfire, Devil Wears Prada or A day to Remember they decided to make a mix of screamo/alternative with little details of another of them influences like Saosin or Thrice.
This is how Victor ans Seryi met to start to create some songs and melodies: This is how appears "The Same Old Song". Animated by our great first creation, we decided to form a new band. Attracted by an internet advertisment, we found Dani who becomes an important part of the band thanks to his great voice. Thanks to different contatcts this band founds Fer, who seduces us after to practice with other bassists.Waiting for a drummer, that is how borns a new band in Barcelona: Dear Amanda. Waiting for our practice local we recorded 6 acoustic songs what we could change to electric mode now, thanks to the receiving of our new and waited lounge. With the recently Rafa incorporation at the drums, our new band is coomplete. Put DearAmanda in your favourite bands list
