Hello there boys, girls, bands, spies, this is Liquix!
I am an electronic engineer of audiovisual systems (analog and digital electronics) and also a computer and network technician.
In the age of 7 i had my first contact with music theory as a pianist. Few years later i finished the harmony 1 certificate.
After that i found piano a boring instrument so i went to the best school for guitarists i ever seen. My teacher was Dimitris Mpournakas . There i learned everything about the electric guitar techniques (especially for rock/any kind of metal/jazz and fusion). With Dimitris i finished the whole harmony and the counterpoint of music and also took some lessons from synthesis. Synthesis was very cool but the purpose of it's existence is for take your diploma to teach. I didn't want to teach 'cause i'm not the most patient person, so i decided to quit. In one way or another, i'm very grateful about Dimitris.
For many year (decade i think)I was and still studying guitarists with any kind of style, such as Jason Becker (Cacophony), Andy la Roque (King Diamond) and Trey Azagthoth (Morbid angel) and i'm trying to combine their different styles in one.
Despite of studying music my biggest love was and still is, Black metal ! Bands like Emperor , Arcturus , Dimmu borgir and many more were always in my heart.
I also am a composer in Black/death metal, industrial/ebm and Psytrance styles. I already have composed songs as Quartets, Piano sonatas, Orchestrals with big and small orchestras, Soundtracks and many more in classic,metal and psytrance music. I never releashed those tracks 'cause i keep them only for myself. Some day i will... who knows?
In 2006 i recorded a demo cd for a band called Heaven's inversion where i composed everything but the result wasn't exactly what i was expected. I'm talking only about the sound 'cause the songs, i know well, are composed and recorded in the right way and i really love those songs. The recordings took place in Digisound studios by George Koltsidas.
My knowledge in software for composing are :

* Ableton live
* Fruity loops
My techniques and my guitar level are:
* Sweep picking
* 8 finger tapping
* Scale Legatos
* Artificial harmonic arpeggios
* All kind of Tremolo techniques
* Rhythmics in extreme tempos (over 220bpm in 16ths)
* Harmonics and the many different ways to use them!
* Making strange and unique sounds using different techniques.
Recently i joined the SAE institute of Athens where finished successfully as a student the DJ Certificate and the EMP (elecronic music production) program.
As a Dj i'm spinning from almost any kind of metal (no Nu metal).
And from the electronic sound from EBM / Industrial to almost anything about Trance and Techno ! Djing is just a pleasure for me and i'm doing this just for fun and have good time with friends (drinking free of course is a reason too).
In Octomber of 2009 i'm planning to take place in the Audio Engineering Program and become officially a sound engineerer!
So if you think that i'm an ordinary person who doesn't know about music... you are making a big mistake, 'cause i know more than everyone (of those who believes that i don't) combined! And i'm not glad about that 'cause i love competition!!
Finally i want to say that you are free to ask me anything about sound and music theory/easier ways of composing and music in general! I know that i will be a handy tool to many of you! The only thing you have to do is... ASK!
