Evangelist Pam Joyner was born and raised in Westchester County, New York. She was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost in September 1971 at the Redeemed Church of Jesus Christ, Mt. Vernon, New York, where the pastor was the late Bishop Kelly L. Basnight. She is currently a member of the Zion Apostolic Christian Memorial Temple under the pastorate of Bishop Samuel Wright, Sr.Evangelist Joyner has been married to Everett Joyner, Sr., since January 1972. They have two children, son Everett II and daughter Kelly, daughter-in law Andrea, and two grandsons.
She is a Registered Nurse, employed at the McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond where she currently holds the position of Heart/Lung Transplant Coordinator. Evangelist Joyner has also worked as a cardio-thoracic ICU nurse at the VCU/MCV Health Center and as a surgical ICU nurse at McGuire. She has BSN degree from the VCU/MCV School of Nursing and an MSN Degree from the University of Phoenix. She has been a co-author of three published articles concerning lifestyles of heart transplant recipients.
She is a member of the Finance Committee for the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) and a voting delegate for UNOS region 11, representing McGuire. She also sits on the Nurse Professional Standards Board and is a study coordinator for Heart Failure research projects at McGuire.While moving about during her husband’s military career, she has held the positions of Sunday school teacher, church secretary, usher, and choir member. She previously served as Vice-President of Missionary/Women’s Ministry at Zion and was Chairperson of the 30th and 35th Pastoral Anniversary Journal Committees. She is currently a Sunday school teacher at Zion and an instructor at Rovear Christian University in Petersburg, VA.
Evangelist Joyner’s first love is teaching the word of God to inspire others to live in the fullness of all that a life in Christ has to offer.
