Started doing music at the age of 4, Jeanetta is and has been ready to take over the music industry. It wasn't until she reached the age of 9 when she decided to give rapping a try. Growing up around her older brother, she was always listening to Bone Thugs, Scarface, and other artists including Devin The Dude. She Would hear her brother rapping to everything he played so she started rapping with him.Now at the age of 22 and With offers from different labels, Netta is taking her time into signing into one big deal. She took a chance and signed with Off-Hand Entertainment (CEO Bill Douglas ) in October 0f 2007 and was working on not one, but a numerous amount of projects and albums ,but due to certain mishaps and misunderstandings she is no longer affiliated with the label. Dat Gurl Netta has now teamed up with local Houston artist K.P.G and is working on her mixtape and debut LP set to drop in May of 09! Working with some of the best producers, that including Brian Styles (placements on Mya's LP, Khia Shine etc) of VSMG, Brandon Crear (Plies, Trae of ABN, etc) of Necronam Productions and herself and Having her mom and manager (Carla "Lady C") along side her, she is sure to hit the scene everywhere!!Since the beginning of 2008 Netta has been doing shows weekly. She has performed at a numerous amount of clubs in Houston, that including The Red Cat Jazz Cafe (performing with R&B singer Takiyah Spears) and being the very 1st Rapper to perform there, Club Bermuda (winning a talent show), The Platinum Club (winning a talent show), Azteka's (showcasing for major A&R's), Arthur's (which lead her to airplay and a television spot on Houston's Own HOT TV), Apollo Night at TSU winning overall, 2008 Springfest held at TSU, 2008 Slabfest at the Humble Civic Center, Club Hot Spot and other events.Releasing her 1st single "Kitty Kat" Dat Gurl Netta is bound to be heard on the radio in a city near you and be even coming thru to your city!!!!
