About Me

"Groove on, baby"---mvclassic is a Grooverock artist from Antioch, a north suburb of Chicago, IL. Best explained as a cross between Sublime, G. Love and Special Sauce, Dispatch, and Pink Floyd, mvclassic takes a tripped-out classic rock approach to a beach bum style of reggae-blues.
Headed up by Marc Vetere as a solo/acoustic act in 2003, mvclassic got his start playing mostly house parties and coffee shops. After the release of his first album "Ravings" in 2005 and some time playing shows in the local scene, mvclassic went back into the studio in 2006 to find his voice in the musical cosmos. This spawned the "2006 ep: Just Left of Right", including 'Mexico' (which some of you may have heard on WGN radio in December '07) and 'Stay (acoustic)'. The completion of the 2006 ep and the following mixtape "Compilation 1" led straight into the massive recording sessions that would birth "Rollin' Gypsies"....
2008: After a year and a half in the studio working on his latest release, "Rollin' Gypsies" and the addition of drummer Dead Ed, mvclassic is presently putting together a full band for live work. Naturally, this means more shows and new music to come in the very near future.
