Mason County Shelter Animals Need Your Help! (WV)

I am an Independent Rescuer in Huntington WV. I started this page in hopes that it will serve as another valuable tool in helping to get the animals at Mason County Animal Shelter to saftey, by finding forever homes or being pulled by rescue.

As some of you may already know Mason Co. was a No-Kill shelter that got out of control, becoming a terrible over crowding situation with 400+ animals. An urgent plea for help was sent out and many Rescues from surrounding states, even Best Friends Animal Society in Utah became involved and hundreds of animals were rescued. Sadly County Commission has taken over and it is now a Kill Shelter, only holding 50 dogs and 36 cats maximum.

My mission, along with many other dedicated individuals (including the new director and her husband) is to get as many animals out as possible, to eliminate the excuse to destroy these innocent animals.
