Comprised of a core trio plus an ever-changing cast of three or four satellite members, the AFDP specializes in what can best be described as "space funk", usually played in impressive, improvisational sets that sometimes last up to an hour without a break in the music. The outfit can turn a tune on a dime - juxtaposing Arabic beats with American hip-hop and interspersing energetic R&B with modern industrial rock and 1970s-style psychedelia taking listeners through fluid motion with solid music.
