XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Started in Salem, Oregon in June 1995. Relocated to Portland, Oregon in July 1996. We had 2 guitarist line up changes and several drummer changes. Bass and vocals were the only original thing from start to finish. The band and it's name was founded by Rick Donaldson (Bass/Vocals). 1st Line-up: Rick Donaldson-Bass/ Lead Vocals Mickey Widmer-Drums (on many releases) Jesse Parks-Guitar/Vocals (on 1st 7") XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX 2nd Line-up: Rick Donaldson-Bass/Lead Vocals Mickey Widmer-Drums Adam Luckey-Guitar XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX After the 2nd line-up Bass and Guitars stayed the same...that's when Adam and Rick went through Drummer hell. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Other drummers after Mickey in order: Ea-1998 (not on any releases) Mike Taf-1999 (on one CD release) Thee Slayer Hippy-'99? (only a few practices) Gib Hammond-2000-2002 (on 1 7" and 2 cd's) XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX After Hundreds of shows in Oregon, Washington, California and Montana and not to mention tons of Record and Cd releases....Drugs and arguing was the bands demise. Rick wanted to break up the band Dec. 2002. Adam Luckey and Gib Hammond decided to steal the name, and copyright the material that Rick Donaldson wrote under their names. Adam Luckey hired on Chris Tense from Poison Idea to play Bass, but after searching for a singer for almost a year and no luck, Hardship gave it up. I guess that's what happens in the big world of Karma. This page is in tribute to all the good shit HARDSHIP did. I'm not sure where Jesse is these days, but Rick and Mickey have talked about a re-union show...we're not sure who would play guitar, but we'll see. It may never happen.
