Bewere & Speaker
B&S is a duo fronted by Szymon Baczkowski and Pawel Smolinski. They come from Pila (Poland) and they have been present on the club scene since 2004. Previously, they were working on music production separately, and were presenting radio programmes.
After the period of experimenting with different music styles, they eventually remained by the sounds of house music and its various types, mainly deep/jackin/funky house.
In 2005, they entered into co-operation with Eden Club in Pila, where they organised their first parties for a wider audience. They organised two editions of “Power of House” fully by themselves. The aim of the event was to promote house music in their hometown and it turned out to be both musical and organisational success. Currently, the events under the banner of “Power of House” take place all over Poland. Most of them are held in Poznan. In order to promote this type of music, they created another original project called “How Do You Do” – cyclical event taking place in Nemo Club in Pila.
In a dj’s competition organised by music service Muzango, they did well and got second prize, winning at the same time booking on the 5th-anniversary edition of Soundtropolis 2008! (www.mayday.pl)
Their debut single, “Just Look Around”, was released on 15th October 2008. It was recorded together with Scibi, and it featured melodic vocals of Elena Isakova. The single was released in two parts by Coffee Bar Music, a records label from Leszno (Poland). The first part included: Original Mix, Instrumental Mix, Jackie Remix, and Szato Szatewicz Remix. In “Part 2”, which will be available for sale in 2009, we will find remixes of: Vintage System & Tom Da Funk, Robert Brown, and Roberto Bedross. The entire material is kept in a lightheaded, house vibe mixed with the piano and great Elena’s voice. The E.P. is available in the largest electronic music Internet stores such as Beatport, Juno, DjDownload and Traxsource.
At present, the boys are working also on much harder music material revolving between minimal and tech-house. The first E.P. under a new alias (www.myspace.com/pilaville) will appear in Phatt Sounds (www.phatt.pl) soon.
They have performed in more than 50 clubs in Poland so far, e.g. in Warsaw (Piekarnia), Poznan (Tuba, Disco Inferno), Torun (Pod Arsenalem), Gorzów Wielkopolski (Light Cafe), as well as in Bydgoszcz, Pila, Wroclaw and many more.
They have also had a chance to perform on many prestigious events: Soundtropolis 2008 - Ogrodzieniec (with Chris Liebing, Westbam, Pet Duo, Gayle San), Juwenalia 2007 - Poznan (with Above & Beyond, Tocadisco, Jerry Ropero & Denis the Menace), Earthdance 2006, 2007, 2008 – Pila and others.

B&S, czyli Szymon Baczkowski i Pawel Smolinski, duet pochodzacy z Pily, na scenie klubowej od 2004 roku. Wczesniej oddzielnie zajmowali sie produkcja muzyczna oraz prowadzili audycje radiowe.
Przez caly ten okres ciagłego eksperymentowania gatunkami muzycznymi ostatecznie zostali przy brzmieniach muzyki house i wszelkich jej odmian - graja glownie deep/jackin/funky house.
W 2005 roku nawiazali wspolprace z pilskim klubem Eden, gdzie organizowali pierwsze wlasne imprezy, skierowane do szerszego grona odbiorcow. W pelni samodzielnie zorganizowali dwie edycje imprezy "Power Of House", ktore mialy za zadanie propagowanie muzyki house w ich rodzinnym miescie - zakonczyly sie one duzym sukcesem zarowno muzycznym jak i organizacyjnym! Obecnie imprezy pod szyldem "POH" odbywaja sie na terenie calej Polski, glownie w Poznaniu. Chcac dalej promowac ten gatunek muzyczny stworzyli kolejny autorski projekt pod nazwa „How Do You Do” – cyklicznej imprezy odbywajacej sie w pilskim klubie Nemo.
W organizowanym przez serwis Muzango konkursie djskim zajeli wysokie, drugie miejsce, wygrywajac w ten sposob boooking na piatej, jubileuszowej edycji imprezy Soundtropolis 2008!! (www.mayday.pl)
15 pazdziernika 2008 roku ukazal sie ich debiutancki singiel pt. "Just Look Around", ktory nagrany zostal wspolnie ze Scibim oraz Elena Isakova, ktora ubrawila utwor swoim czarujacym wokalem. Singiel zostal wydany nakladem leszczynskiej wytworni Coffe Bar Music, w dwóch czesciach. Pierwsza z nich zawiera: Original Mix, Instrumental Mix, Jackie Remix oraz Szato Szatewicz Remix. Na "Part 2" , który ukaze sie w 2009 roku, uslyszymy remiksy: Vintage System & Tom Da Funk, Robert Brown i Roberto Bedross. Calosc zachowana jest w lekkim, houseowym klimacie z domieszka pianina i swietnego wokalu Eleny. Epka ta dostepna jest w najwiekszych sklepach internetowych z muzyka elektroniczna - Beatport, Juno, DjDownload oraz Traxsource.
Obecnie, rownolegle z produkcjami jako B&S, chlopaki pracuja tez nad materiałem w duzo mocniejszym klimacie, oscylujacym miedzy minimal a tech house. Pierwsza EPka pod nowym aliasem (www.myspace.com/pilaville) ukazala sie w Phatt Sounds 5 maja 2009 (www.phatt.pl).
Do tej pory zagrali juz w ponad 50 klubach na terenie calej Polski, m.in. w Warszawie (Piekarnia), Poznaniu (Tuba, Disco Inferno), Toruniu (Pod Arsenalem), Gorzowie Wlkp. (Light Cafe), Bydgoszczy, Pile, we Wroclawiu i wielu innych miejscach.
