Painful Awareness

Formed in January of 2009 "Painful Awareness" features the Bass antics of Shamus (Funk MoNkeYs, The Poppers, Make Love & War, Gobblers Knob) along with Drummer/Vocalist Thomas Schmidt (either side of Normal) and Guitar/Synth Ron Baylin. The focus of the project is to free form jam, record, and perform whenever possible. With numerous other projects , families, children, and a healthy sense of reality it can be a difficult thing to achieve but we are having fun...the recordings you hear presented here are stream of thought crafts created on the fly. There are no pre-developed songs here...no structure or plan. We just hit record and follow eachother to the conclusion of the tune. If there has been a difficulty for us it has been in remembering to stop in a reasonable amount of time to get a song length which we can post here for your enjoyment. Thomas Schmidt our resident Drummer/Vocalist is doing what you hear here without overdubs or backing vocalists. We hope to post some new tunes up here soon...for now enjoy these jams!
