Blair Thomson is a keen record collector and avid music fan, going by the DJ alias of 'Audioslut' since 2005.
His musical interests are hugely eclective ranging from electropop to rock, jazz, reggae, soul and world music which is all reflected in his sets which are mainly defined as deep house and techno.
Primarily setting out as a drum n bass / jungle DJ in 2002 playing a number of bars and clubs, supporting the likes of EZ rollers, Goldie, The Jungle Drummer and DJ Fu. This grounding set him in good stead to become the promoter of a long running weekly club night in Plymouth UK, known as Wonkeylegs where he held a residency and supported acts such as the Freestyler's Matt Cantor, whilst studying for a BSc Hons degree in engineering at the University of Plymouth.
University life gave Audioslut the chance to really experiment with different genres and also the opportunities to play at many different venues to diverse crowds, from student union club nights to all night basement house parties of 500+ people.
In late 2007 with the return of indiepop and electro (nu-rave) Audioslut turned back to his eclectic roots and began to flaunt this style at the clubs he held his residencies at and other private parties and venues, the love of all things house indie, and electro quickly drove him to his current taste and choice of the foreseeable future, deep house & techno.
This year has already seen Audioslut deliver the goods on a much larger scale, from playing boat parties and bimonthly club nights run by his own club night & radio show 'DanceDanceDance' to playing 10,000 capacity Sellout festivals such as the UK's Student Festival Beach Break Live and premier UK club night MICRON in London's infamous shoreditch..
This DJ/Producer is definitely going to be one to watch this year...
