Julie Venus is a swedish/french pop act based in Örebro, Sweden. Samuel, trained in classic piano, and Julia, trained in classic song, were introduced to each other in the summer of 2006. In the beginning of 2007, they started working on electronically made music together - something neither of them had done before. The outcome was Julie Venus - songs with classic elegance, and beats fitted for the dancefloor.
Julie Venus' melancholic dance hits have been attracting attention ever since the first songs were released on myspace in 2007. The group was tip on P3 pop ( swedish national radio) and proclaimed as Pop Hope of the year by the newspaper Metro in the beginning of 2008. After a long year parsed with glorious gigs in sweden and france and epic studio sessions. Julie Venus is back with their eponymous first album. Bringing together classic french electro dance music, and elegant swedish pop hooks.
Julie Venus song Business was tip of the week in swedish radio show "P3 pop" on oct 7th. You can soon listen to us again, in an interview on the same show, on christmas eve - dec 24th!
Read about us in swedish music magazine Digfi , as artist of the week and as no 1 on Lars Jämtelids list .
