Farmhouse Studio

About Me

Farmhouse got it's start many, many years ago and also many names ago. Over the years the studio changed names to what ever would suit the mood, but always kept it's purpose......producing great sounding tracks. The studio started off as a pile of equipment including a 4 track tape recorder, piled into the smallest room in the house. Now it's housed in a 1960's Mobil home, in the community known as "Shoal Creek" located about 14 miles from Hartwell, GA. Keep in mind that Farmhouse started out only as a project studio to record my musical projects such as Fact Not Fiction and Tool Box Hero , but I’ve opened it up to help out local bands that need professional quality recordings as an option . I usually do not charge by the hour because I feel that when someone is in a studio, their mind needs to be set on their creativity, not the clock. Please feel free to listen to the recordings above, they were all produced, recorded and mixed in my studio.

Farmhouse is definitely not the $80,000 studio you see on TV. In fact, we aren't even the $30,000 studio you read about in Flagpole Magazine. What we ARE though, is a small project studio, housed in a 1960's mobile home in the country with no bathroom or luxuries. Why you ask? Well we never intended for FH to be anything but a project studio, only for personal use. But after countless times of hearing "Man, you have a great sound. I paid $900 for my recording time and your sound is 10 times better!", I decided to open it up to the public and help out some musicians that really deserve it.

So even though our studio looks like a prop of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre from the outside, which is more important? Looking like a million bucks? or sounding like a million bucks?
