I was born on Merseyside in 1973. I went to various universities studying German and Philosophy and now teach these subjects at just such a place (Warwick). I live in St Albans, with my cat. I drink too much red wine, like obscure early German Cinema, vintage synths, analogue and digital and bass guitars. If I lived somewhere else it would be Hamburg, Germany.I am a multi-instrumentalist, singer and composer. I have played guitar, bass, keyboards and sung with a range of bands Black Rain, Assassins of Silence, Xoo, Modal Logic and Tom Byrne and most recently Pre-Med with Danny Faulkner and Alan Davey.I use: Roland synths: two D50's, one driving Roland V synths and other softsynths hosted by my laptop, the other stand alone (!), and a JP8000 for the patterns, textures and analogue impressions. I use a Korg M1 and Korg Wavestation for soundscaping. I also own a Yamaha CS15 and am currently expaning my range of analogue synths.I use Rickenbacker basses were possible and peavy valve amplification, and Hohner and yamaha electric and acoustic guitars. Recording is done using Cakewalk Sonar.
