J’Michael, born in New Orleans, Louisiana and raised in New Orleans’ historic lower ninth ward is to many a prodigy. He began to pave his way to his radio career unbeknownst to him at the tender of age of 12 as an active listener of WYLD-AM (Gospel) in New Orleans, LA. J’Michael was invited by Kris McCoy to join several jocks during their shows to help out which lead to him becoming an unofficial intern at WYLD-AM, and where he was later hired as a part-time employee in 1998 at the age of 18. Since that time J’Michaels’ career includes healthy stints at WPRF-FM (Gospel) and KMEZ-FM (Urban AC) (Citadel Broadcasting) as an on-air personality in New Orleans and later at KFXZ-AM (Gospel) (Pittman Broadcasting) in Lafayette, La where he gained his PD stripes. J’Michael re-joined the Citadel Broadcasting camp in 2006 as the Program Director of Baton Rouge heritage Gospel station WXOK-AM (Gospel) and was promoted to the dual responsibilities of Program Director of both KQXL-FM (Urban AC) and WXOK-AM. J’Michael who now resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is known for his spirit of excellence, passion in his work, dedication to Christ, and community service.
