I am here for Friends

About Me

I could be an economist...or a pastor. I have this elaborate plan for my life, but I don't know if God has it for me. I love my family with a passion, they are great people. I hope that I am merely Christian, because I don't like those who have a political agenda. I like going to coffee, because I believe that it facilitates conversation. The coolest convo's I have had have been over coffee. I love people...or at least I wish I did. I hate what I do. I love gyros, especially when the lamb is on roticierie. I hate failing. I demand perfection from myself, which presents problems, because its impossible. I wish I could play guitar...or sing well. I am trying to start a church...for people who don't like church. I think it is an insane idea...that God gave me.%D%AIf you want to coffee with me (its a verb I made up for getting together over coffee), message me. There is nothing that I would rather do than get to know you.%Dlso, check out more of my photographs at flickr.com/photos/agape%D%A

My Interests

Coffee. Cooking. Coffee. Not clothing. Coffee. Sense a theme?

I'd like to meet:

James Dobson to let him know that he needs to quiet himself a little more. c.s. lewis, even though he died like 40 years ago. Some other people too i'm sure. Aaaaand, also Mark Driscoll, the pastor at Mars Hill Church in Seattle. www.marshillchurch.org The greatest speaker I know..

Music:

Favorite Band is Five Iron Frenzy, but they broke up. I like basically all music. I listen to hard rock, and then musicals. Not really one genre that I focus on. All time current best band: The Cinematic Underground. One of the greatest cd's i've listened to artistically...just wonderful music.

Movies:

I have two favorite movies: Chariots of Fire and Dead Poets Society with Robin Williams. Most of the movies I watch are comedies, just dumb low humor movies. Also, I like to occasionally watch war movies, like Patton.

Television:

I don't have a t.v. Stop asking me if I am going to get one...I don't have one.

Books:

I love goosebumps...almost as much as Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter. Wow! Those were great books. Um...no. Fountainhead by Rand is good. Anything by C.S. Lewis. And other books too. Like...other books. Velvet Elvis is one of the freshest books I've ever read. Just finished Confessions by Augustine...that book is HARD. Another great book for a Renaissance history nerd like me is Basilica by R.A. Scotti. Great book, her writing style is amazing.

Heroes:

My all time hero is Eric Lidell, whose bio is Chariots of Fire. Just the way he lived his faith unswervingly, I wish I could be like him more.
