Hello, my name is Karen Brinkerhoff and I'm here to meet like minded individuals who embrace peace and unity.
My greatest passion is to reach to the heart of humanity and to use this passion to bring people together to accept one another for their differences and recognize the beauty in being human. I hope to encourage unity and respect through my work. I love people and to celebrate the beauty in being different.
My artwork from the Rainbow Series includes paintings from a song I illustrated written by my Aunt Portia Nelson titled "Make a Rainbow". This song was once performed by Marilyn Horne at Bill Clinton's Inaugaration.
My Mentor, Angel and Friend...Great Aunt Portia
My newest work, The Spirit Series, includes the Spirit of a Woman, Spirit of a Man, Spirit of Prayer, Spirit of Life, Spirit of a Legacy,Spirit of Adversity,Spirit of Freedom and in progress is the Spirit of Ability. The Spirit Series illustrates life’s journey. It represents the light within us all and remembering the greatness we all have inside. Each piece is uniquely created with symbols and meaning illustrating the beauty of the world around us and how differences can be woven into something beautiful.
