Valentia Telegraph

About Me

Valentia, Ireland, was the eastern terminal of the first transatlantic telegraph cable that operated for one hundred years until Western Union International terminated cable operations in 1966.That cable represented the free and easy exchange of ideas and culture across the Atlantic Ocean for a over a century. The lads of Valentia Telegraph came together for the first time in Limerick, Ireland, in the summer of 2004. All were attending summer programs at the University of Limerick for traditional Irish music although none were from Ireland originally. Two from Wisconsin, one from Holland, and one from Texas they had no idea that three years later they would form an ensemble…Their repertory is a balance of trad Irish tune sets, songs and ballads, and some folk fusion. For more information, please go to: http://www.taolchemyrecords.com/28.html.found this travel layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com
