I rock.
When I was fourteen, a friend told me: "Hey man, I'm going to play the bass."
That time, I didn't know shit, so I told him: "Great, man! But- what is the bass??"
He explained: "Oh, the bass is the coolest instrument ever! It's powerful, and the most important one in the band. Even more than the guitar. Plus- you get all the chicks!"
That closed the deal.
That same night I told my parents: "Mom, dad, I'm going to play the bass!"
Of course, they had no idea what I was talking about.
I was born in Israel. I grew up under Mediterranean skies, a place where rage, hate and brotherhood mix together into a bloody pointless shake of life.
Hungry children of beaten nation, hands holding guns and blocking the sun, politicians' lies…
Who can solve this equation?
Now, in the city of immigrants, I can touch the skyline: America, the states, the flag, the skyscrapers, the big apple, the big money… It's a big lie. Even here, it's all the same.
Can music change any of that? What difference can one make? Can these four strings help? Am I a dreamer? The only one?
I CAN MAKE YOUR ASS MOVE TO THE MUSIC.
Well… it's not a lot, but it is definitely something to start with.Terrapin Live @ Southpaw NYC
