About Me

I've always lived in the northwest and I probably always will. I like the outdoors, camping, hiking, etc. (but I don't like being too cold). I love having pets. I've had dogs, cats, fish and a horse in the past and I current have a tarantula (my husband's actually), a border collie puppy, and two rats. I also recently bought four chicks. I love cooking and I'm always looking for new recipes both of which have become more interesting/difficult recently. I also enjoy reading, listening to music, watching movies and traveling. Some of my pet peeves are lazy people, starbucks without free internet, gas prices, poor customer service and internet explorer.

Are You More Yin or Yang?

My Interests

Pets, gardening , reading, cooking and baking , music, movies, camping, hiking, crocheting, scrapbooking, yoga , birding and doing basically anything with my hubby.

I'd like to meet:

Someone (besides my hubby) who really gets me.

Music:

The music I listen to the most is (in no particular order): country, christian, christmas, instramental, smooth jazz, and random stuff like al green, enya , and acoustic eidolon .

Television:

For the first time in my life I have a tv with satellite and lots of channels but when I actually have time to watch tv there are dozens of things I’d rather be doing so I don’t watch it much. Though that does seem to change during football season.

Books:

What I'm currently reading: The Sacred Romance by Brent Curtis and John Eldredge and rereading Chickens in Your Backyard by Rick & Gail Luttmann. What I just got finished reading: The Confident Woman by Joyce Meyer (religious/women), Captivating by John & Stasi Eldredge (religious/women) and the Anne of Green Gables series.

Chickens!

I've been thinking about getting chickens since before we moved down to Christmas Valley. My mom even got me a book about raising chickens so I would know what to expect and what I would need to do. (...

Only Time

I've been spending a lot of time recently listening to Enya because her music seems to "calm the beast within" so to speak. There's one song I like especially because the lyrics really fit how I'm fee...

One of the saddest things...

I'm sure most of us have met people who seemed to hate the world. They complain about everything, criticize everyone, and are pessimistic beyond belief and the longer you stay around them the more it ...

Happy fall and merry christmas!

It's about this time of year, with the days getting shorter and colder, that I begin to have certain bad urges. Well, I don't think they're that bad but Steve questions my sanity. Today was the first ...
