About Me

Here is a brief biography going way back. Coming from musicians in the family, I started early at age 12 and taking private lessons back in 1989 in Stockton California. In high school I took music classes and toured with "Encore" and played in Jazz Band. My early influences were rock and funk tunes I heard on the radio and on MTV : like Herbie Hancock's Rockit and Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust" to Disco funk like "KC and the Sunshine Band. By high school I was way into Heavy Metal like AC/DC, Iron Madien and Def Leppard. Not to mention that crazy guitar rock from, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson. I soon mellowed out lystining to Bob Marley, Pink Floyd and Miles Davis, ending up at a ton of Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia, Phish, Blues Traveler and Widespread Panic concerts. Some projects early incarnations included "Under The Influence", "Quazimotos Flying Spew Chunkies", "Innerphase", Chris Lods and Stone Soup. In College @ Humboldt State University I played with "Delphinum Blue" "The Burbs", "Lauren Miller Band", "Davey Dijoux", finally finishing off currently with "Something Different" (1997). You can also see me preforming with my twin brother in the Digital Music Team. I have also sat in with "The Orbitones", "Lansdale Station", "Kanvus", "Jordan Fienstien and friends" and making a rare precusion appearance on Jam Cruise 6 feat Steve Kimock, Skerrik, Jon Fishman, etc. I also had the pleasure of jamming with Ben Harper @ the Mountain Aire campsite 1998 and Jamming with James Whiton and Greg Fundis of 56 Hope Road at High Sierra Music Festival 2007. My musical intrests are deep funk and soul mixed with psychedellic rock and 70s fusion, rounded off with world and folk roots. Not to mention the electronic, space and dub projects of the future that keeps my ears twiching and my heart pounding. My main project Something Different is keeping it going and we have had some great special guests sitting in like the late Martin Fierro from Zero, Grateful Dead ,Legion of Mary, Merl Saunders/ Jerry Garcia projects on Sax, Josh Clark from Tea Leaf Green on Guitar, Stu Allen from JGB on Guitar. Simon Allen and Rob Lavers from New Mastersounds on Drums and Sax. We have played some major Northern California festivals and clubs opening for such acts as Keyser Soze, Tea Leaf Green, The Toyes, The Ideals IZm and more. We hope to expand our live shows and hit your aera soon. for booking call 209 981 7285
