DONOROO Benefit Concert

About Me

We are proud to be hosting the second annual benefit concert honoring the memory of Gavin Donohue. Gavin was killed at the age of 22 by a drunk driver while working a road construction internship in July 2007. Donoroo 2009 will be held on Saturday, July 25 at Chord on Blues, and will feature Tim Cali Acoustic, The Riz, and Johnny Perona & the Faque Brothers. Doors open at 7:00pm, and tickets are $7 per person. Proceeds benefit the Gavin Bradford Donohue Foundation, which supports Engineers Without Borders, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and the Center for Work Zone Safety. Make plans to join us for a rockin' good time for a great cause!I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)

Influences: Gavin Donohue was a civil engineering student at the University of Missouri-Rolla, and would have graduated in 2008. In May 2007, Gavin traveled to Guatemala with Engineers Without Borders to help build an earthquake-proof school. Gavin was a music lover and a musician himself. His main instrument was the guitar, but he also played the piano, banjo, and mandolin, among others. He was a St. Louis Cardinals fan, and well-loved by his family and friends. The Gavin Bradford Donohue Foundation has been established to raise money for causes that were close to Gavin's heart, namely Engineers Without Borders. We also support organizations like MADD to educate about the dangers of drunk driving, and the Illinois Institute of Technology to promote road worker safety.
