Known for his catchy lyrics, and intricate rhyme scheme's, 17 year old Skribbal is indeed critical to the Christian hip hop spectrum of the underground today! Skribbal is well on his way to the top of the game, becoming the second most popular underground hip hop artist in Oregon...voted by nearly 12, 000 people! His debut album "Social Experiment" was also voted as the 3rd most popular underground hip hop album in Oregon, in which 5, 000 people voted for the record!
Raised in Selma, Oregon, Skribbal was faced with challenge since a child. Some of these struggles included child abuse, drug abuse...and overall violence. "Life in Oregon sucked!!" Begins Skribbal. "Things always sucked for me. I was the only little kid in the family. I know so many people in Prison right now, who hung around our family...great friends infact. Im just glad that Christ came into my life, and fixed all of this. But I still love my people's there..and love going there as well!"
Skribbal was soon relocated to the Los Angeles County in Southern California, where he was adopted by his granparents, where he discovered his love for hip hop and Christ. "Ive always loved metal. I was, and still am to this day, somewhat of a "metal head." But, when I heard Cross Movement, and Lecrae, I was hooked. Once I found Christ in 2006, I knew what my call from Christ was."
In 2008, Skribbal created "LifeLite Records," to release his debut album "Social Experiment." The album was automatically recieved well, recieving positive reviews throughout the states! His single "Refuse to Compromise" is currently recieving heavy rotation throughout the Oregon radio community. With guest appearences by Playdough (of Deepspace 5 fame), Nik Fury, B.e.r.i.d.o.x., Risen Tunes, and many others, not only has Skribbal made a name for himself in Oregon, but he has gained a reputation as one of the more spiritual-focused lyricists in the Christian market in 2009!
