THE GHOST OF A THOUSAND
Bright Lights
Having kicked, screamed and fought their way out of Brighton, England in early 2007 with awe-inspiring debut full-length This Is Where The Fight Begins, THE GHOST OF A THOUSAND have rapidly become one of the UK’s most valuable and unique musical assets, thanks to their unhinged, uncompromising and utterly invigorating style. Having spent the last couple of years challenging old perceptions of what British hardcore was made of – collecting a Kerrang! Award nomination and a place in Q Magazine’s Top Five metal bands, along the way - the quintet are back with an album that doesn’t just tear up the rule book, it sets it ablaze and leaves it on your doorstep in a middle of the night drive by.
Having formed in 2004, vocalist Tom Lacey, guitarists Andy Blyth and Jag Jago, drummer Memby Jago and bassist Gaz Spencer, have relentlessly pushed themselves forward - whether that’s via a punishing tour schedule or annihilating live shows - in the pursuit of greatness. The pinnacle of that boundary pushing ethos is finally here, in the form of New Hopes, New Demonstrations – an album that steps beyond the band’s hardcore roots and squares boldly up to swaggering rock ‘n’ roll, hard rock heroism and, in places, epic opuses. It’s a record that will stand the test of time and prove that …Ghost… are in this for the long haul.
“NHND is still very heavy,†front-man Tom Lacey explains, “heavier than …Fight… in places, but its whole feel is a lot sadder, and its mood changes all the time. This album could have been a straight up sing-a-long catchy hardcore record, but it’s very much not and I think that will come as a shock to some people. I'd like to think that the perception of us as a band within a scene will be blown apart now - the new stuff doesn't to me feel like anything that other bands are doing right now.
“We knew it had to be a more emotional album,†he concludes, “and we wanted it to feel like the band reveal more and more as the record goes on. It starts very bluntly and ends in a completely different place. It’s a lot rougher around the edges and it’s a lot more human. We’ve come a long way as musicians since …Fight... We've shifted the goal posts
with this one.â€
Recorded in Stockholm’s Studio Grondahl in the winter of 2008, under the watchful gaze of Pelle Gunnefeldt [The Hives, Refused], the band knew they wanted to do something unusual from
the get go.
“Pelle was our first choice,†Lacey says. “We wanted to do something different and un-tinged by gloss and glamour, and make something weird and dark. We felt Gunnerfeldt had that maniacal edge that would bring that out of us – and he did".
New Hopes, New Demonstrations: a new sound for new times.

From the North-East of the UK; TCB were formed in 2006 with Jonny Ferguson (Synth, vocals, samples), Adam Ridley (guitar), Marc Henessey (guitar), Jamie Common (bass) and Luke Walker (drums). All members had played in respected bands previously and the extremely high pedigree of this group is there for all to see.
In November 06 TCB went to Outhouse studios (Enter Shikari) and recorded their first 4 song demo. Since then they have been playing very successful and packed out dates across Europe with their relentless and unpredictably explosive live shows enforcing and furthering a furiously expanding international fan-base. FIRST SIGNS OF FROST
Song writing of the highest degree, mathematically flawless precision and unparalleled melodies are only a few minor facets that come together to bring you the unmistakably unique sound-scape that is ‘FIRST SIGNS OF FROST’.
If you haven’t heard them yet then you are ‘definitely’ missing out…
From the UK’s capital and formed in 2004; the five members of FSOF (Dan Tompkins - vocals, Owen Hughes-Holland - Vocals/ Guitar, Adam Mason - Guitar, Simon Poulton - Bass and Will Gates - Drums) have been working hard on the underground scene making a significant and extremely memorable impact. The band have shared the stage with the likes of; Lostprophets, Sikth, Architects, Enter Shikari, Flood Of Red, The Blackout, Exit Ten and The Ghost Of A Thousand to name just a few.
They are continuously pushing the confines of alternative music. The monumental guitars of FSOF never stop moving and are simply astounding, the drumming is of equally remarkable stature - forever changing direction unpredictably without any care or regard for those trying to keep up and the extraordinary vocals and melodies are of those only made for singing along in the style of some new punk rock, ingrained hymns.
The appeal of FSOF also knows no boundaries as even now they have an ever broadening and rapidly increasing fan-base spanning an international platform - from the USA, across Europe to Japan and even Australia. 2007 the band released their long awaited 2nd EP ‘The Lost Cause’, through Zestone Records (Japan) to critical acclaim. The band have received coverage in high profile press such as Metal Hammer, Rock Sound, Big Cheese and Total Guitar magazine amongst others. Now writing material for their full length debut album -
2008 will be a year to for everyone involved with this band to remember…

ELIAS LAST DAY
ELIAS LAST DAY were founded in 2004. From the ashes of previous projects and a change in vocalist they had found a working formula; that from past experiences and range of musical backgrounds would prove to find a sound that the band would become solid within.
The 5 piece hailing of out the north-west, UK consists of Pat (vocals), Phil (Guitar), Oli (Guitar + Vocals), Mike (bass) and Elliot (drums). The bands members have a range of influences and musical tastes, ranging from straight up hardcore to the likes of Pink Floyd, and this has brought knowledge to the table and a knack for writing anthemic choruses with crushing metalcore beatdowns was born. ELD's have played alongside Aconite Thrill and other well respected bands within this circuit such as Parkway Drive, Bleeding Through, Cult of Luna, Misery Signals, All That Remains, Bring Me The Horizon, Sylosis, And Their Eyes Were Bloodshot and Enter Shikari.
ELD have recorded 2 EP's; "Smoke Signals" and "Life Through Tinted Glass" , the latter was recorded With Jase from Errander, of IATDE records, and was a maturity in sound and foundation of things to come from the band. These releases they have sold more than 300 CD's, across the UK and stateside also. ELD's live show is where the real heart of this band come to life, with chaotic stage prescence and a highly energetic audience focused performance.
Through CD sales they have established a good strong fan base from all over the globe, and also have sold a large selection of t shirt designs. They aim to release a full length CD in 2008.
Elias Last Day are endorsed by: Black Eyes Clothing, Mutilation Attire, Sanity Apparel and Shine Custom Drums.
