About Me

You may recognize me from Pet Star - my cats used finger paints to create a Warhol-esque portrait of Mario Lopez.

And I am a zig zag girl (gotta follow it to the end!) as well as a Princess of Character , one in a series of Christian Values Feminine Collector Dolls ("The purpose of THE PRINCESSES OF CHARACTER strive to build a sense of value that seems to be some what lost in our society today as a whole . . . FARYL FOXETTE teaches the inward beauty of a woman")

Check out the 48 Hour Faux Project profile for outtakes, the director's cut, cast/crew videos (confessional style), behind-the-scenes photos, and blogs.

Our flickr album: with awesome behind-the-scenes photos.

For gossip and highlights, including details about Busines End, the hygenically challenged feline (and some nice things about me!), check out Anne's Blog (thanks, Anne!)

Breaking News: All Online Data Lost After Internet Crash

My Interests

My friends. My nephew/godson/munchin: Eli. Yet-to-be-friends. (Leisure) Traveling. The Unknown. Movies. Photography. Animals. Anything involving computers or gadgets (I am a huge apple geek. I also really truly love Excel. I'm hoping some programmer at Microsoft will name a function after me one day). Music. Improv. Trying something new. Did I mention movies & computer stuff? :-) The abolition of mayonaisse.
I've also had this sorta secret fantasy of having a pet penguin that I could train to answer the door and bring my guests drinks (all this, of course, in exchange for oodles of love and fishies or whatever else its little penguin heart desires!):

adopt your own virtual pet!

I'd like to meet:

Other Faryls, fellow myspace addicts, someone who can help me figure out how to get my cat to stop chewing her stomach raw. Cool bands that like to share their cool music or cool people to share their favorite cool bands. Bright funny people who laugh at my jokes. Transplanted Seattle-ites (especially those who are in So Cal). I'd also like to meet Ellen, Oprah Winfrey, the Dalai Lama, and Ricky Martin.
And these guys (who not only kick ass as fellas and as a band, they were kind enough to customize their album artwork to match my profile colors):

Music:

Overall I like anything that makes me want to sing, dance, smile, laugh, cry, get busy or all of the above. Love to see live music and getting exposed to new bands. Love anything with a hip-hop, latino beat, or anything with "scratching" too!Current favorites from my ipod, in no particular order: M.I.A., Youth Group, Jason Mraz, The Beastie Boys, Justin Timberlake, Coldplay, The Killers, Z Trip, Elvis Presley, Green Day, Johnny Cash, Lenny Kravitz, Nirvana, Daft Punk, J-Lo, White Stripes, Party Ben mash ups, Imitate a Cat Vomiting, my #1 boy Ricky Martin (honestly), Stranger's Six, Reeve Oliver, Augustana, and Tracey Johnson:

Movies:

Independent flicks. Foreign films. Comedies. I like it all! (Netflix kicks ass - IMDB rocks!)

Some favorites: Flirting with Disaster. Royal Tennenbaums. Legends of the Fall. Go. Singles. Amelie. Like Water for Chocolate. Rebel Without a Cause. Better Off Dead. Harold and Maude. An Affair to Remember. The Pillowbook. The Apartment. Fight Club. Say Anything (love Cameron Crowe and/or sappy John Cusack romantic comedies). 12 Monkeys. Boogie Nights. Trainspotting. Spiderman & X-Men movies (go figure). Bourne Identity/Supremecy (I am studying to be a CIA operative). Nightmare before Christmas (is it odd to have a crush on Jack Skelington?). What's Eating Gilbert Grape. Parenthood. Snatch. Y Tu Mama Tambien. Motorcycle Diaries. Crash (the new one - not the freaky one with James Spader). Queens Boulevard.
(And pretty much anything with Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, James Dean or Gael García Bernal)
And this one: 48hr Faux Project Presents:: Men are from Mars, Women are from Earth (1st cut)

Television:

The first step is admitting you have a problem. I heart my DVR! Favorite shows: Entourage. Weeds. The Family Guy. The Office. The Daily Show. The Colbert Report. Conan O'Brien. The OC (RIP). Beverly Hills 90210. Punkd. Jackass. Pet Star (well, anything with animals). Extreme Makeover - Home Improvement (ok - I am a dork - I cry EVERY time!). Dharma and Greg. Oprah. Ellen. Simpsons. Seinfeld. Will and Grace. Lost. South Park. Entourage. Taxi. America's Next Top Model. Bob Newhart. LOST. Reality TV (I can't believe I am publicly admitting that). Anything with Celebrity Gossip (except "Being Bobby Brown"). I ESPCIALLY love reality shows featuring celebrities! (although I am not so big on the new dancing/skating/cooking/knitting with celebrities trend) Entourage. Viking Quest. Thirty Days. Desperate Housewives. Nip/Tuck. Studio 60.

Books:

Anything by JD Salinger, David Sedaris or Augusten Burroughs.
Gone with the Wind. Electric Kool Aid Acid Test. The Tipping Point. The Alchemist. Echoes of the Soul. The Way of the Peaceful Warrior. You'll See It When You Believe It. The Unbearable Lightness of Being. The Life of Pi. The Year of Yes (really, Maria, I swear!). Prozac Nation. More, Now Again.
Right now I am reading Pronoia (the idea that the world is conspiring to HELP you)

Heroes:

MY DAD (I continue to learn from the lessons he taught me, despite the fact they outlived his time with us).
MY BROTHER (for knowing who he is, what he loves, for being an amazing husband and father, and for doing what ever it takes to be true to himself).
ELISABETH KUBLER-ROSS and IMMACULEE ILIBAGIZA (amazing women who each inspire me with their poignant messages of spirituality, faith, forgiveness - for myself and for others- and hope.)
DAVE CHAPELLE for knowing where his line is, and having the integrity and balls to walk away from what didn't feel right.
Ty Pennington
Albert Einstein
The inventors of ear plugs and the white noise machine.
MRS. ROBINSON and MAUDE (for being "older" gals who still got it with the boys - and let's just leave it at that!).
