About Me

So I didn't grow up like a bunch of other musicians I know. I didn't start playing drums while I was still in the womb and wasn't sitting in on my first gigs by 2 or 3 years old. I went to public school and played clarinet starting in the 6th grade and later added alto sax to that. I was about 11 years old when I joined the school band and started playing drums about age 17...etc., etc., etc.

I've spent the last 14 years playing music seriously...touring work has been mostly with indy rock style bands although I play much more. I studied both classical repertoire and "jazz" in music school (some years ago) and I've had the fortunate opportunity to teach, tour, and record quite a bit. I call NYC home and with a little luck will continue to make music.

Back at it.

Sometime around the later half of 2001 I started work on a comprehensive basic drum set method book. My goal was, and still is, to combine the best elements from all the beginning/intermediate books I...

Fresh stylings

Well, well, well, I've been working on a bunch of new projects lately... so I'm gonna put up some fresh stuff soon. Thought it was time for a little spring cleaning, so to speak.
