BREWTALITY (CD Out May 1)

..In 2000 a band was formed called D.U.I. The purpose of the band was to perform classic rock music in local bars, and have a good time with friends. The band did not go too far due to lack of communication among band mates. One good thing came out of D.U.I though, BREWTALITY. D.U.I’s roadie (also kid brother to Tito, the drummer), who was learning to play guitar at the time, learned every song the band had played. When D.U.I’s front man was asked to leave the band, the roadie jumped in to cover for him. The purpose was to cover for him until they found another front man who could sing and play guitar at the same time. As time went by, no front man had been found. But Dave, the roadie, started writing his own music along with the bassist Abraham. It came to the point that the songs they wrote were more heavy than what the lead guitarist, Rigo, was hoping for. Rigo then left the band. The band was still looking for a name, since D.U.I was long gone. They later thought BREWTALITY should be their name, thanks to Mr. Zakk Wylde (founder of Black Label Society) who had titled his live CD “Alcohol Fueled Fuckin’ Brewtality”. The three musicians thought, “We love to drink beer, and we love to play brutal!”. That was perfect for them. In 2005 Brewtality lost the chemistry they had. Nobody knew what was going on. Therefore they called it quits. They closed the Brewtality book, and went different ways. The brothers, David and Tito, lost touch with Abraham, and the good times they had together did not stop them from quitting. David and Tito tried to continue with their passion, which is music. They tried out other musicians who were very talented, but they were not Abraham. They later learned that a band is not made from just talent. It is made from friendship (something D.U.I had) and chemistry with one another (something D.U.I lacked). Those two need to be present in order to be part of BREWTALITY. In late 2008, as Brewtality had been hanging out together as friends only, they worked their differences. They talked about what went wrong. They decided that all the good times they had during the band’s growth could not just be thrown out the window and just leave it at that. They decided to reunite. With that said and done, they are back. Stronger than death, stronger than all. There is no stopping them now. For they will stop at no cost. They will achieve their number one goal. Music is their passion and it will stay like that till’ destiny separates them.
