Armchair Oracles caught fire on 3rd of August 2007, when they recorded five songs during a creative weekend. In 2008, "Armchair Oracles EP" was released to international acclaim. In May 2008 the band played three gigs during the IPO festival in Liverpool, and in August they performed four shows in Los Angeles.
