chris is living proof that God has a wonderful sense of humor. He once told his buddies back home that he would never, ever become a Christian, completely oblivious to the fact that God had chosen him to be a follower of Christ before time began. He naturally is a guy who loves to have fun and makes time to be with friends. He never liked the thought of going to school and even thought school was a waste of time all the years of his preadolescence. However, he eventually started to realize that God had given him spiritual gifts and responsibilities to learn and teach for a different purpose other than what he was accustomed to (a real purpose where he gained all the more when he chose to lose everything for the sake of gaining Christ). He very much loves to learn now, and has joy and peace in his heart that is better than having all the fun in the world! He finds eternal brothers and sisters all over the world now, which are better than the brief acquaintances he's had in the past. chris is still dealing with the consequences of his foolish mistakes, but is seeing wisdom as the ultimate advantage to overcome stupidity and ignorance. All this from someone who is avid in making mistakes and is imperfect in every way (but can still be called a "saint"). Someone in heaven is having a big laugh at his expense. After all this time, chris still doesn’t get the joke.
