Space Bitch!

About Me

We're an odd, quirky band. It’s bits of bluegrass, jazz, blues, country, prog, classical, programme, folk, rock, surf, metal, and psychedelia all kind of awkwardly sqwidged together as an imaginary soundtrack for a really inappropriate children's cartoon about hookers on acid. We’ve got big silly basslines with big silly bass solos, excessive cowbell-orientated percussion, hillbilly fingerpickin’ acoustic guitar, and oodles of bizarre mandolining.
"Comical, trippy folk music about rabbits, bongs and pancakes."
But don't take our word for it! Here's what the fans say...
"Space Bitch! - A band hailing from halifax, with a fan base ranging from Yorkshire to Sunderland, as well as London and Toyko. FUCKING ACE" - llayney straughan, llayney news, llayneytown
"Stupid" - Steven's Mom
"I liked your violin. Please don't hurt me." - A small child
"John Peel would cream his pants over this shit!" - Tom
THE DAY THE RABBITS DIED CRAPPY ANIMATION

The beginning

Our first recordings are up! These were done on Pancake Day 2007, recorded on a mobile phone. They're horribly shrill and ridden with cock-ups, un-provoked laughter and gay jokes... so possibly the mo...
