PORTLAND DHARMA PUNX
We are a peer-led Vipassana/Insight meditation and discussion group located in Portland, Oregon. We are open to everyone regardless of tradition or level of experience. We offer a casual space to meditate in community, explore Buddhist teachings, and share personal experience. The name Dharma Punx comes from Buddhist teacher and author Noah Levine. We honor the name by embracing our rebellious natures, and by turning that energy toward spiritual practice.
The three jewels in Buddhism are the Buddha, the Dharma (teachings) and the Sangha (community). Our sangha is made up of people throughout the world who stand as spiritual revolutionaries: we renounce the fear, anger and greed that have taken over. We seek to rebel against the norm of suffering and confusion through a systematic plan of meeting hatred with love, fear with courage and wisdom, and pain with compassion and acceptance.

We meet:
WEDNESDAYS, 7:00pm-9:00pm
@ Kaninga Yoga Studio
3014 NE Ainsworth
On Wednesdays we have a 35 minute guided meditation followed by a book reading and/or group check-in and discussion.
If you are coming to sit with us on Wednesday nights, you may want to bring your own meditation cushion or pillow. At this time we do not have any meditation cushions for people to use.
