I'm a designer and fabricator of ornamental and functional metal art pieces for both interior and exterior display and use. I use a variety of metals, finishes and patinas to create distinct, custom and functional works of art. From entry gates to interior sculpture, all of my work has a unique blending of materials and inspiration. I create works in many styles, for many tastes, that range from Asian, Craftsman, Deco, Art Nouveau, Western and more. I try to absorb the passion and preferences of my clients and render it into a custom piece of art. I utilize each metals natural quality, and where necessary, I overlay metallic dyes to combine for a beautiful and powerful effect in each piece. I'm a native New Yorker transplanted to Los Angeles in the mid 1980’s. I started studying Biology at a N.Y. University until my passion for music drew me into the NY nightlife and music scene (Much to the disdain of my parents). I had a long career in the music business that spanned touring, production and recording. My musical career in all its various incarnations, afforded me the blessing of traveling the world and seeing many of its cultures. I've had the pleasure of meeting a wide variety of people that range from Heads of Nations to Presidents of Motorcycle Clubs. I left with a healthy disdain for both. My passion for motor vehicles and the art forms that lie within started me on the path of working with metal. I immediately fell in love with expressiveness of the medium of metalwork. I try understand why inanimate objects can speak to ones soul so profoundly through curves and lines, colors and texture, form and function. After getting a basic education in metalworking and welding I opened my studio. From the placidity of computer design to the more raucous cutting and grinding, this is now the music that my studio emanates. With my chopped top ’50 Mercury parked by the door, the dulcet tones of Ray Charles or AC/DC swirling freely with the sparks of freshly ground metal, I'm surely a sight to watch work. I love what I do and how I do it. I custom design and strive to bring to life any vision my clients have to enrich their living environment.
