Dancing, drinking and general carousing. Going to the park with Dante, my big, dumb dog. Camping. Hiking. Traveling, when I can afford it (read that as rarely). Cooking for friends (of course wine comes with that!). Art (especially the Pre-Raphaelite and Renaissance varieties). Good books. Bad movies ("Really, it's a cult classic!").
New friends of all types! The interesting, the odd, the crazy (got the papers to prove it, a plus); generally, people with some sort of attraction (spiritual, philosophical, intellectual, physical or just general duende). Honestly, I'm kind of stand-off-ish at first (often read as snobby), but if you catch my attention by falling into any of the aforementioned categories, I'll eventually approach you. "Yes, I am staring at you. Is that a problem!?!" :]
Everything from industrial to opera, except (most) country and (most) rap, but I have a real weakness for female vocalists with an ethereal bent. Delerium, Sarah McLachlan, Ella Fitzgerald, Poe, Operatica, Lisa Gerrard, Thievery Corporation, Sarah Brightman, Balligomingo, Jakatta, The Killers, The Chemical Brothers, Deftones, Bush, Concrete Blonde, The Doors, Stabbing Westward, Garbage, Ministry, NIN, Cocteau Twins, The Cure, New Order, The Smiths, The Cult, Sisters of Mercy, Skinny Puppy, Peter Murphy, Type O Negative (okay, I’m not putting down all the 80s/early 90s stuff, let’s just say LOTS)
No specific genres, except pseudo sci-fi sometimes ticks me off. (Where the hell is the 'sci'? Don't the writers even own an encyclopedia?) Some Favorites: Lord of Illusions, American Beauty, Cube, The Hunger, Urbania, Hellraiser, Nightbreed, LA Confidential, The Doom Generation, Blade Runner, Pi, Not Another Teen Movie, Elizabeth, Juana La Loca, Plata Quemada, Our Lady of the Assassins, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Legend, The Wedding Banquet, But I’m A Cheerleader, Heathers, Donnie Darko, Shaun of the Dead
I don't watch a lot of TV, but you'd be amazed how much you can pick up in 30 minutes of high-speed channel changing. Supernatural, Lost, Bullshit!, Best Week Ever (can you say 'Short Attention Span Heaven')
I'll read anything that isn't dry as a textbook, then again, the Kinsey report was interesting...
