David Lewis received his BFA at California Institute of the Arts in 1977. He performed 2 piano version (1st piano position) of the Rite of Spring for his final project. The following year he joined Ambrosia and for 6 years recorded and toured world wide. In 1984 David joined the critically acclaimed group Shadowfax. They were leaders in pioneering a fusion of world beat percussion and melody. David was a major songwriter and won a Grammy in 1989. His songs are frequently used on television, were used in the 1989 World Series, and the 1992 Summer Olympics. David completed the Fred Karlin film scoring workshop, associated with ASCAP in 1993. He has worked on many indie projects over the years in his studio.
