Grooveyard is a band delivering its own unique and groovy sound to New York's Hudson Valley and beyond. Drawing on influences spanning from old-school funk and soul to jazz and rock, Grooveyard creates hip music with a fresh spin that features inventive songs with true musicianship.
The band recently emerged from the recording studio with the newly completed "Floors in Motion" EP, showcasing its own signature sound on four original tracks. The vibe translates directly from the CD to the live show where each member takes a turn in the spotlight improvising in the jazz/funk tradition. Spunky beats and basslines underpin the rhythm and melody provided by guitar and vocals. Whether it be a Grooveyard original tune, or a good ol' funky favorite, the band dishes it out with soul whenever they perform.
