Ettore "Eddie" Ferro

Ettore Ferro,primo concerto nella primavera del 1985 all’eta’ di 15 anni.Nel 1988 si unisce alla Rava Brothers Band con cui nel 1995 incide “Goin’ Home”.Collabora con numerosi bluesman italiani, tra cui Giancarlo Crea & Model T.Boogie,Maurizio “Gnola” Glielmo,Nick Beccattini ed anche con musicisti americani , come Michael Coleman,J.Monque’D (con cui incide un cd insieme ai Burnin’ Tubes di Piero De Luca). Nel 1999 fonda i Soulness con Ilaria Lantieri (basso), Max Bertagna (batteria) mentre alla chitarra si avvicenderanno Gianfranco “French” Scala, Heggy Vezzano,ed infine Max De Bernardi,con loro incide “Nite Bite” e nel 2002 diventano la band di Sugar Blue,armonicista di punta nella scena del Chicago Blues. Nel 2006 parte per un viaggio a Chicago dove,cercando le radici del Blues,suona insieme ad autentiche leggende,quali Calvin Johnes,Aaron Burton,John Primer,Billy Branch,Maurice John Vaughan,Velvet McNair,suona con la band di Quintus McKormick in alcuni storici locali e prima di rientrare in Italia viene invitato alla festa nel ghetto, dove suona al CatFish Corner con Big Time Sarah ed entra nella grande famiglia della WestSide accolto da Mr Wallace come “l’uomo che ha dentro di se l’anima della loro gente”.
Ettore "Eddy" Ferro,first show in 1983 at 15.In 1998 met the rava brothers and join'em in their band, during 1995 they realesed the CD "goin Home" with bruce iglauer (alligator records) notes : " this is much better than many usa bands i hear,you should be proud". and so "Goin' Home" has been the first italian CD ever mentioned on livin'blues magazine the bible of the blues.Collaboration with all the best italian blues musicians and also with Michael coleman,maurice john vaughan and j.monque'd of new orleans. in 1999 founded soulness a band that after few years became the band of sugar blue the great armonica virtuoso,in 2006 takes a trip to Chicago to check and see for himself what was goin' on there, he found himself on a session at the Chicago blues festival playing at the side of Calvin jones and AAron Burton and soon became respected on the blues scene from legendary musicians like John Primer,Billy Branch,Big Time Sarah.he started to play with the band of quintus mc Kornick in some clubs of chicago like the "b.l.u.e.s.". Before leavin' the city he has been invited at the catfisch corner and had the honor to play in the west side before the best audience and people ever. Mr Wallace of catfish corner declared " he's got soul, it's a mistery, i don't know why, but this man here knows our music better than we does, he's one of us! And that was the best rewarding for a life devoted to the blues and to the wonderful call of an ancient black soul.
