Hi! I am Lucas Ariel Vallejos Irazábal, musician and sound engineer from Barcelona, 'the best shop in the world'. I play drums and bass. My influences are, mainly, funk, hip hop, jazz, and some electronic music.
After being member of the bands Groovecrew, Mandalas, and Kulyela, in 2006 I started a new project with my own compositions (only two of them are posted here). Since November 2006, I’ve made several gigs alone.
I’m open to other projects as well. For instance, I took part, along with the singer Sabina Witt , on the composition of the music for a japanese poetry (haiku) show, which combines music, dance and scenography. It was shown on July 2007 in Girona and Olot (Catalunya). This is the spin-off for a new band called 'Electroacústica Circular' (soon available).
I also develop sound ambience and musical pieces for theatre and audiovisuals. Remarkable works are the sound design and music of the theater play ‘La Mà quina de Parlar’, by Victoria Szpunberg, (which had its premiere on December 12th 2007, at Sala Beckett, Barcelona), and the sound design of the theater play 'Venedors', by Edoardo Erba, (May 2008 at Sala Beckett, Barcelona).
Whether you feel like collaborating together, or booking a performance, simply let me know.
(By the way, last weekend I understood why DJ, in general, are so fucked up in the head. And it has nothing to do with drugs.)
