SKETCH IS A 3 YEAR ARTS PROJECT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 11-16YRS.It was created by Clare Donegan free-lance artist /youth worker with Helen Knowles arts officer.It kicked off this year with a bunch of taster sessions in three neighbourhoods of Burnley.
Based on these tasters we had a four week intensive program which was followed by the Sketch youth villageSketch has just completed its second year- with a festival showdown last Sunday which was fantastic. Will have some clips and stills on here soon..The tasters are an opportunity for you to get involved, art workshops will include:
• Djing
• Street dance/ break dance
• Drawing
• Stencil art
• Graffiti
• 3D construction
• Mural painting
• Japanese wood cutting and lantern making.
• Samba
• Electronic sampling
• Beatboxing
• Mcing/Rapping
