Jason Smith aka JASSASIN interest in rap began as a hobby when he was just fourteen when he hanging out with his friends. Now twenty four years old, the result of honing his skills is represented in his Platinum 1 Entertainment debut album titled BLACK SHEEP.Jassasin whom the label promotion team describes as laidback and smooth has been in the studio recording since he was eighteen years old. It was then he met his now producer Will Fox. A friendship was forged and the two worked together on several demos Jassasin remembers I met with a few labels but there were no real deals, just broken promises. The Michigan natives luck changed when he was introduced to Edward Page (VP for Platinum 1 Entertainment). Page thought the project showed talent and potential and passed the demo to CEO DMario Dudley. The young CEO liked what he heard, secured a meeting with Jassasin and contracts were quickly set into motion. The album BLACK SHEEP a combination of autobiographical, sometimes hypothetical, and inspirational message. Standouts include Lotta Love, Lotta Hate. When listening to song one will swear that is two different voices rapping. However the two voices belong to one and the same, Jassasin. Utilizing his lyrical prowess Jassasin gives the hip hop listener something new as he speaks about how people change after they come into money as well as the wannabees of the world. The Spanish Song in also in a class of its own. The slick melodic single in which Jassasin raps Spanish is sure to get people talking. Especially since the rapper isnt fluent in the language. Says Jassain mischievously I learned from people in my neighborhood, particularly the ladies. Another single titled Another Day features Jassasins killer flow as well as vocalist J. Black.Jassasin who cites early influences as Tupac, Biggie and Big Pun doesnt listen to the radio or other rap artists. Remarks Jassasin I try to stay to myself when it comes to my music. I feel that your creativity gets tainted and you take on other rappers style. When asked about Hip Hop/ Rap music and its direction, the artist passionately replies I think the state of Hip Hop is going down. It doesnt seem to be moving into a good direction, theres a lot of negative influences out there its not about creating music, its all about image I think the listener will hear what I am trying to do which is bring something new to the game, that my goal!I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!
