Arland began with the collaborative writing of Robert Baker, and Seth Kupersmith; two singer/songwriters who met and formed a friendship in Nashville TN. After moving to Southern California looking for a more diverse music community, Arland sought other members. George Bernal and Gustavo Peraza (two friends from Orange County) joined in the winter of 2007, and Arland began playing venues across Southern California. Arland’s music produces a sound that has significant Folk and Jazz influence, layered into punchy Alternative Rock. The sounds leap from a seductive swag into sudden calculated chaos making for a unique and eclectic experience.
