About Me

Welcome myspace world. There once was a little girl, who had a little curl, right in the middle of her head. When she was good she was very, very good, but when she was bad she was horrid.
A long, long, long time ago in a galaxy far far away from here, a story of not so epic proportions began...This IS that story. Of an artist so artistic, she speaks in third person when filling out band bios on myspace...
Introducing...Christina Mullany, the girl who could.
...born on the 7th of December 1989, she began singing as soon as she could breathe, astounding doctors the world over when her first word was the dorian modal scale in A sung to DOO. After her memorable beginning, she sung in choirs throughout primary school, always in the back row making up her own lyrics...far more interesting than the clichéd words of the primary eistedfod pieces the choirs were under contract to sing. This interpretive singing, unbeknownst to all but herself, was the starting point in her musical career. She feel in love with the music, and has never looked back. Her naive music teacher granted her the most prized musical award at the end of her primary days for her musical achievements and contributions...she carried home her mammoth sized plaque sniggering, knowing that they had never know her alternative words to On the Road to Gundagai.
High School came along, as did singing lessons with the wonderous Jane de Ville, bringing out a whole new side of her vocal chords...never pushed to remain true to the walls of popular and classical music, allowed to go her own way she began writing and singing her own songs...
While singing her way through the next six years, she found Kate, Marielle and Alice, three of the most incredible female singers around, and formed an a cappella girl band. Together they formed spine tingling harmonies and were incredibly inappropriate...
Next came Ulrich and the Lichtensteins, a many splendid thing with the amazing boys Timothy Bowen, Stuart Hope, Jordan Peterson, and Thomas Riley, the second of her now five bands. The world only saw them once, and is yet to recover.
Assai followed, a collaboration with the truly remarkable Devlin brothers, Stu Hope, and Simon Panucci. New music, new inspiration, new sounds. Find them at: http://www.myspace.com/assaiband
Last but not least, the Fonetics came into existence. Michael Whatman, Stuart Hope, Christina and the Andrew Dengate, came together on a whim, because they could, and made some beautiful beautiful songs, even though the song titles weren't terribly intellectual. Eg: poo on a stick was one of the better creations...
The fifth band is her, just her. She writes and performs her own music, she believes there's nothing quite so magical as being able to do that, and be listened to.
Her love of music has become an obsession, and her vocal chords, piano, and guitar her most prized possessions. Her friends, as supporters and inspirers, are priceless, they make the music last. Inspired every day by the people around her, she lives her life in awe.
So, for all you inspirers, this one's for you.
