"A girl from the east coast moved to Boulder in the mid-1990s and discovered the underground scene in Denver in 1997 when she went to see an obscure indie rock band at the warehouse that is now called Monkey Mania. She became so inspired by this experience that she became part of that underground scene long before many people who know her would suspect. Around that same time she learned that you could record your own music and she did so with the help of a computer. A lot of that music hasn't seen the light of day in quite a while but it helped the girl to understand and appreciate the creative process a good deal more. In the coming years she formed her first indie pop band called The Little Heads and her music was known for its vulnerability, thoughtfulness and sincerity. While she was performing with The Little Heads, this girl also started to further explore her interest in DJ culture and she eventually made a bit of a name for herself in that world many years later." -Tom Murphy from: A Brief History of Denver Undergrond Music 1997-2002 Part 3
