A little history about the songs on this page.In January of 2005 I went into SB's Orange Whip Recording Studios, with Derrick Plourde, of Lagwagon fame, and recording engineer Tobias Ricken at the helm. Derrick had long been one of my favorite drummers and a friend the past few years. At the time he was in between recording for Bad Astronaut and Jaws, and I hired him to help me do the recording. Rehearsing and recording with Derrick was one of the greatest musical experiences of my life. His focus was laser sharp and he nailed all the songs in one take. I played bass, guitar and sang the vocals on all track and brought in my good friend Keith Douglas of Mad Caddies to do harmonies.The process of recording these songs was extremely fun, but ultimately very sad as Derrick took his life two months after laying down his drum tracks. I wish I could've played these songs for him, but all I can do now is to share them with whoever knew Derrick and loved his music.I feel very grateful to have recorded these songs with Derrick, he was something special. Since then I have written several other songs and have tried my best to grow as a writer and a singer. In the future, I hope to post more songs to this site and eventually find other passionate and talented musicians to start a band with.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
